INTAS presented at EUSEW 2019
INTAS project was presented at the EUSEW 2019 conference
Large and medium power transformers are subject to energy performance
regulation, which is currently under review. The revision is expected to
address important aspects such as loopholes, level of ambition,
relevance for repaired units. An important element is copliance to the
requirements of the regulation in place. Technological progress helps to
make transformer more environmentally-performant, more resistant to
fire and better recyclable. These challenges are however not
straightforward, especially so in an energy transition which needs to
balance requirements for cost effectiveness and reliability with a need
for deep decarbonisation for which grids will play a pivotal role.
